Meet Anastazja Krostenko—our Head Horse Manager, fierce competitor, and a key part of the Stanford Polo community.
Anastazja joined the club her sophomore year and has been a pillar of our team ever since. Now a senior (and continuing on next year as a coterm student in Earth Systems), she's spent the past three years leading with humor, hustle, and unmatched dedication to our horses.
As Head Horse Manager, Anastazja has juggled early mornings, vet visits, feed charts, and tack repairs — all while keeping the team laughing and the horses happy. Her love for the ponies runs deep, but Butterfly has her heart. When she's not organizing chaos in the barn, you'll find her in the arena playing smart, steady polo—earning her the All Star Award at this year's regional's Best of the West tournament.
Beyond her skill and work ethic, Anastazja brings something rare: good vibes, always. Whether you're having a rough day or just need someone to ride alongside, she shows up, ready to help, cheer you on, or tell you that yes, your wrap job is crooked, but it's okay.
We're beyond lucky to have her in the saddle and at the helm of our horse program for another year. The horses (and humans) are better off because of her.
