Office of Student Engagement (OSE)

The OSE supports all registered student organizations on Stanford’s campus. We work closely with our colleagues in this office towards the common goal of supporting students in their leadership and critical thinking development, while they form strong communities that contribute to their student experience. OSE is dedicated to helping students find community and foster passions while developing leadership and life skills. OSE’s purpose is to:

  • Support all recognized student organizations, advise ASSU and the sophomore and junior class council, and offer leadership development and training.
  • Help individual students connect with student organizations and other activities outside the classroom.
  • Work to cultivate a student community that values inclusivity, equity, respect, collaboration, and balance.

Their staff can be reached by emailing: studentengagement@stanford.edu

Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU)

Our club teams are solely funded by ASSU. In fact, ASSU provides funding to over five hundred volunteer student organizations (VSO). The ASSU works to represent the interests, needs, and perspectives of Stanford students at every level of decision making with the university. The ASSU advocates on behalf of Stanford students on issues such as cost of living, diversity, student life, and student activities space. Our Club Sport Executive Council works closely with their peers in ASSU on funding-related matters.

ASSU colleagues we work closely with:

Jas Espinosa, ASSU Financial Manager/SSE - CEO: jas@sse.stanford.edu
Johan Sotelo, Capital Group Managing Director: jsotelo@sse.stanford.edu
