Women's Ultimate Frisbee's team name is Superfly. Ultimate Frisbee (technically known as "disc ultimate,") is a non-contact team sport that is played on a field about the size of a football field. Not to be confused with disc golf, ultimate Frisbee is played 7 on 7, and players score by completing a pass in their team's end zone. An awesome thing about ultimate is that having good sportsmanship and preserving the simple joy of play is written into the rules: it's called Spirit of the Game. So, ultimate is made to be fun, and we have fun year-round!
Our pre-season is in the Fall quarter, season invitational tournaments are in the Winter, and post-season sectional/regional/national competition is in the Spring. With Superfly, you'll travel throughout the west coast, Midwest and the southwest to compete against teams from all over the country. Stanford has won more national championships in women's ultimate than any other college, and we'd love for you to join us!
