About
Stanford Men’s Volleyball Club strives to provide Stanford undergraduate and graduate students with equitable opportunities to participate in competitive, intercollegiate volleyball. We focus on engaging with each other as a tight-knit team comprised of members representing many different parts of the student body in an effort to support one another both on and off the court. We accept players of all backgrounds — some have played for years, and others started out here at Stanford. We are looking for players with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong commitment to the team and each other.
The club competes in Division 1 of the Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League (NCCVL), traveling to various schools all over California for best-of-five league games. The NCCVL is the premier league for men's and women's club collegiate volleyball in Northern California; more information about the NCCVL can be found on the NCCVL website. Additionally, the team also travels to compete at various tournaments throughout the season, including the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation's (NCVF) National Collegiate Club Championships in April. The NCVF is the governing body for collegiate club volleyball, under which Stanford and all other colleges compete under. More information about the NCVF, national rankings, and national tournament can be found on the NCVF website. Practices are twice a week and games and tournaments are on the weekends. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the team leadership.
