Stanford Recreation

Eric is a certified Level 5 USA Hockey Coach who has spent a dozen years coaching NorCal youth hockey from the U8 to the U14 level. His teams have competed and won at the NorCal and California State Championships. As part of the Executive Board of Directors for the Santa Clara Blackhawks, Eric has been the Director of Hockey Operations for 10 years, working on everything from program development to player development. He has evaluated at both NorCal Select and CAHA Select camps, for the top California talent moving on to Pacific Regional and eventually National Select camps. A ’91 graduate of Stanford, Eric went on to earn a Ph.D in Biology, and is currently a professor of Biology at DeAnza College.

Eric joined the Stanford coaching team midway through the 2019-2020 season to help guide them to their first winning record in recent memory!
