Stanford club soccer shuts out Santa Clara 2-0 in home opener

The Stanford Women's Club Soccer team delivered an impressive 2–0 victory over Santa Clara in front of a great home crowd this past weekend. From the opening whistle, the Cardinal dominated possession and created chance after chance, showcasing sharp passing, solid defense, and relentless energy. Two well-executed goals by Fran Reuland and a great team dynamic sealed the win and got Stanford's season momentum rolling.

But the rivalry is far from over. The two teams will face off again this Saturday, October 26, at Santa Clara, and tensions are high as Santa Clara looks for redemption. Stanford is eager to prove that their win was no fluke — and they'll need all the support they can get on the road. Grab your friends, make the short trip to Santa Clara, and help the Cardinal bring home another victory. Let's go Card!
